Molière’s Tartuffe, a satire on hypocrisy, was banned for years after it was written with many believing it to be a satire on religion. This comedy tells the story of the family of Orgon and their belief that household is being manipulated by Tartuffe, an imposter. This 5 act play follows Orgon’s family and friends as they attempt to expose the true nature of Tartuffe.
