Dance Theatre: In Concert
The Roger Williams University Dance Theater will be presented at the University’s Performing Arts Center December 6-9.
Performances of the Dance Theater will be held on Thursday December 6, Friday December 7, and Saturday December 8 at 7:30 p.m. with a matinee on Sunday December 9 at 2 p.m. The RWU Performing Arts Center is located on the University’s Bristol Campus at One Old Ferry Road. Tickets cost $10 for general admission and $5 for students and seniors. Seating is limited.

The company will be performing works by guest artists Christina Robson and Sayer Mansfield. Additional works will be presented by RWU dance faculty members Michael Bolger, Kathy Smith and Cathy Nicoli and by dance majors Abigail Clermont, Leeza Regulbuto, Mary Kate Sandler and Samantha Verity.
Christina Robson originally from Tewksbury, Massachusetts, received her early dance training from Tammy Ivers Aspell and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Roger Williams University in 2009 under the direction of mentor Kelli Wicke Davis. Since relocating to New York City, she has had the opportunity to perform with The Sean Curran Company, David Dorfman Dance, Monica Bill Barnes and Company, Alexandra Beller, Heidi Henderson, Third Rail Projects, and Deganit Shemy. Christina became a member of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company in 2015. She is on faculty at a Gibney Dance Center in New York City.
Sayer Mansfield holds a BFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Upon graduation in 2014, she moved out of NYC to join Pilobolus Dance Theater and their home in the woods of Northwest Connecticut. Sayer has toured the world with Pilobolus Dance Theater. She has performed over 25 pieces of Pilobolus repertory and been involved in the creation of five new works for the company, including two evening length pieces. She has taught master classes with Pilobolus in studios, schools and universities all around the world. Beyond Pilobolus, Sayer has been a member of the Indah Walsh Dance Company and has performed the works of Crystal Pite, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Mark Morris and Jose Limon. She has performed with Compañía Sharon Fridman (Madrid, Spain) and worked with Christine Gouzelis & Paul Blackman/Jukstapoz (Athens, Greece.)
