The two day seminar will provide mid-level and senior public safety leaders with a broad understanding of (1) an organization’s readiness for strategic planning; (2) the terminology, process, and tools needed for developing an effective strategic plan; and (3) developing a process for executing and tracking progress of your plan.
Specific skills include: developing and evaluating a departmental vision and mission statement; conducting internal and external stakeholder assessments; performing a SWOT analysis to identify strategic objectives; and creating specific plans to include goals and objectives as well as action planning to achieve strategic organizational objectives. The seminar will also provide attendees with an introduction to the facilitation skills necessary to lead your organization through a strategic planning process.
