Shelby J. Solomon, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Management at Roger Williams University where he teaches Business Policy. Dr. Solomon’s research interests include oppositional market categories, critical theory, macro business environments, and decision making. He has published his research in outlets such as Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Business Strategies, and Journal of Managerial Issues, as well as presented at a variety of conferences including the Academy of Management.

Dr. Solomon joined Roger Williams University in the Fall of 2017, after he earned his Ph.D. in Strategic Management from Louisiana State University’s E.J. Ourso College of Business. He has also earned a M.B.A. and B.A. in economics from the University of New Mexico. Outside of his academic life, Dr. Solomon enjoys spending time with his wife and exploring coastal water ecosystems.
