Dr. Farbod Farhadi is an Assistant Professor of Management in the Mario J. Gabelli School of Business. Dr. Farhadi received his Ph.D. at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2014. In his dissertation he modeled flight patterns in busy airports to increase airport capacity utilization, lower delays, and minimize operating costs.
Dr. Farhadi brings experience from business and industrial communities. Prior to joining Roger Williams University, Professor Farhadi worked in management and planning in automotive industries, as well as project management in oil sectors.
Dr. Farhadi has been recognized for excellence in teaching and research. In 2012 he received an Industrial and Systems Engineering best track paper award, and in 2013 he was awarded the UMASS Isenberg School of Management Outstanding Doctoral Student Teaching Award.
In addition to teaching and research, Dr. Farhadi advises the Students Analytics Club at the Roger Williams University. The club won a 2nd place in a national analytics competition at the Association for Information systems Student Conference in 2016.
