Ph.D, University of Rhode Island
I received my doctorate in English from the University of Rhode Island in 1995. My areas of specialization were mythology, folklore, science fiction and critical theory and I contributed a few publications in those fields at that time. I also taught at U.R.I. as a teaching assistant during my graduate work there.
I have been teaching for over 20 years at the Accelerated and Professional Studies Division of Fisher College, formerly in Fall River and currently in New Bedford and North Attleboro, MA. In addition, I have taught for the past several years at The Community College of Rhode Island and Roger Williams University as an adjunct professor.
I am also a professional musician who has played in several local bands, but I am currently composing and recording music for ballroom dancing. My ballroom music is available at iTunes, Amazon and CDBaby, and can be heard on Spotify, Jango and other Internet Radio services under the name Lunamoon.
My apocalyptic novel, Not With A Bang: The Last Days of America will be self-published on Amazon this year.
At RWU I have taught WTNG 100: Introduction to Academic Writing, WTNG 102: Expository Writing, and WTNG 220: Critical Writing for the Professions.
