Ballet and Modern Technique

Michael Bolger originally from Fall River MA, received a BFA in Dance from SUNY Purchase and his MFA in Interdisciplinary Art from Goddard College. He is a choreographer, dancer, and teacher now living in RI. His choreography and site-specific works have been commissioned by various ballet companies across New England. As a dancer he continues to perform a wide range of contemporary works as an independent artist. Past performance credits include Underfoot Dance (New York, NY), PHFFT! Company (France), and Cadence Dance Project (Providence, RI). Michael first came to RWU's Dance & Performance Program in 2005 as a guest choreographer for Dance Theatre. He was invited to join the adjunct dance faculty the following semester. He regularly teaches Ballet and Intermediate Modern technique and continues to choreograph new works for Dance Theatre concerts.
