Alessandra Cianchetta is an architect, designer, artist, curator, cultural and urban strategist working on multiple award-winning projects across the globe. Her visionary, nomadic (Paris-London-New York), trans-disciplinary practice focuses upon radical evolution in contemporary design, fashion, architecture, technologies, visual arts, and game-changing urban planning. Her brainchild Poissy Galore won the French Cultural building of the year 2018 award.

The studio has been selected for the 17th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia “ How will we live together?”(2021) with the on site installation FIELD OF LINES and with a film, DIE ALLMEND/THE COMMONS (as part of Olafur Eliasson/Studio Other Spaces’ exhibition Future Assembly). Cianchetta’s built work is currently showcased in the exhibition GOOD NEWS / Women in Architecture at the MAXXI National Museum of the Arts of the XXI Century, Rome, IT and the Italian Institute of Culture in Stockholm.

At the intersection of architecture and visual arts, her latest work was presented at the 2022 LIAF Lofoten International Art Biennial, Arctic, NO. It explored the story of Cianchetta’s fictional/real architectural archive which got lost in dramatic circumstances (unspecified/fire, earthquake, flood or war). In between sculpture, architecture and film, FIELDS/OBJECTS explores timely notions of archive, loss, identity and gender and questions the ambiguity of all these categories both spatially and conceptually.
