Senior Fair

Thursday, April 16th from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. - Information to come soon!

Countdown to Commencement Week

April 20- 24- The Bookstore will hold its annual week-long event for graduating students!  All graduates are encouraged to come into the Bookstore during this time to pick up their regalia and take advantage of the "in-store" special offers which include: raffles for diploma frames, class ring discounts, and a one (1) time discount off clothing [a special coupon is provided during "pickup"] for this week only!  The Bookstore will continue to distribute caps and gowns every day from the start of this week to up until the day before Commencement - Friday, May 15.

Lavender Graduation

Wednesday, May 6th at 4:00 p.m. - Located in the North Campus Residence Hall Great Room.  The Queer and Trans Resource and Advocacy Center is pleased to announce the second annual Lavender Graduation here at Roger Williams University. Lavender Graduations at universities all throughout the country and serve as an inspiring and affirming way for us to celebrate the successes of LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, asexual, pansexual, intersex, non binary, and gender nonconforming) students. This event will create space for our LGBTQ+ students, their families, and their friends to gather one last time and to reflect on their growth throughout their time here at Roger. Please read this article to learn more about the first Lavender Graduation that took place on campus in May 2018.

Senior Commencement Ball

Saturday, May 2nd- Commencement Ball for the undergraduate students of the Class of 2020 will be held at the Rhode Island Convention Center. Ticket sales will begin in April. Information on tickets and hotel rooms will be sent out via email from the Senior Class. President's Reception

Wednesday, May 13th from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. - President Ioannis Miaoulis & Heidi Maes will host a special reception for graduates at the University Residence.  Enjoy an evening celebrating your accomplishments with your fellow classmates!  Appetizers, beer and wine will be served. (ID will be required.) Shuttles will run continuously from campus to the Residence through the duration of the event.  Dress attire is business casual. Due to space restrictions, this reception is for graduates only - no guests please.  An RSVP will be required to attend.  RSVP by May 6th to events@rwu.edu or 401-254-3166.

Intercultural Center Stole Ceremony

Thursday, May 14th from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. - This is a celebration for Seniors who have shown exceptional intercultural learning, a collaborative spirit and ethics of campus inclusivity. These individuals have made extraordinary contributions to the campus community though involvement with the Intercultural Center or student groups that promote diversity, equity and inclusion at RWU. At this ceremony we bestow an Intercultural Roger Williams University Alumni Pin and/or Stole to be worn on graduation day and going forward. 

Commencement Rehearsal

Thursday, May 14th at 12:00 noon - There will be a mandatory rehearsal on in the Campus Recreation Center Fieldhouse for all graduates who will be participating in the ceremony on Saturday. All graduates must attend this rehearsal, as instructions regarding the ceremony will be given at that time. 

Senior Lunch

Thursday, May 14th (following rehearsal) - Members of the undergraduate class will enjoy a lunch in the Upper Commons. This event is free to all RWU undergraduates participating in the commencement ceremony. Given the large number of graduates, guests, family members and undergraduates who are not graduating may not attend.
