In alignment with the President Farish's White Paper, the Instructional Design & Technology unit works in concert with the Learning Commons to continue to expand services to our faculty  and students as well as more “fully address the teaching and learning needs of an increasing adult learner population, a graduate curriculum and a distance online community through the web and through targeted onsite collaboration.” Our core services to fulfill these goals include:

  • Conduct ongoing faculty development sessions and events to support teaching and learning with technologies that are pedagogically/andragogically sound
  • Provide course-based multi-media support for faculty and students
  • Strive to provide exemplary customer service via phone, e-mail, text and walk-in troubleshooting and support for all instructional technologies for faculty and students
  • Provide outreach instructional technology support for all distance faculty and students (especially pertinent to a projected increase in SGCS enrollment)
  • Conduct ongoing instruction for faculty, students and staff on supported learning technologies, both onsite and virtual
