I am a Senior Business Management major.  I am on the women’s softball team,  the Senior Class President, participate in the Scholarships for Service program as well as various other community service.  The beach and music are my two favorite free-time hobbies.  The quote I live by is "You only live once, but if you live it right, once is enough."

My name is Jessica. I am a sophomore from Sharon, Massachusetts, majoring in communications with a minor in Spanish. I became a HAWE because I thought it would it would be a good learning experience for me to help educate people. I am VERY excited for this year and want to meet everyone.

I’m Erica, a junior from Connecticut majoring in Psychology. I became a HAWE to get more involved in student life and for the experience it will bring. I am also in IRHA and a big fan of One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl.

I am an engineering major with minors in mathematics and civil engineering. So if anybody has any questions about sex, drug, alcohol, freshman year, or just needs somebody to talk to come by.

Hannah Reynolds
My name is Hannah and I am a sophomore, majoring in international relations with a minor in psychology. I grew up in Asia, but now live in New Jersey. I enjoy playing tennis, watching football, going skiing, taking pictures and travel. I love the idea of being able to help other students make educated decisions.

My name is Hadley. I am from Ventura, California. I am a sophomore majoring in International Business. I hope to live and work abroad someday. I am currently on the Sailing team and in my spare time I love to go for runs around Bristol and be out on the water sailing.

My name is Jackie; I am a junior psychology major with a minor in sociology and anthropology. I am the Stonewall HAWE fall semester and studying in Australia for the spring. I am looking forward to helping other students get the most out of their college experience.

Matt Feighery (Spring)
My name is Matt. I’m a junior from Darien, Connecticut majoring in psychology with a minor in Spanish. This is my second year as a HAWE. I’m going abroad in the fall to Barcelona and when I return I will be one of the Stonewall HAWE’s. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and being involved on campus.

My name is Lindsay, I am a sophomore Environmental Science major (yea, I’m a science geek). I’m from Springfield Ma. One of my favorite parts of RWU is the bay view along campus. I play women’s Rugby for the school.  If you need anything, I love to chat.

My name is Adam, I am a sophomore, from Connecticut, majoring in Marketing, minor in Finance, and doing my core concentration in Sociology.  I participate in various intramural sports. I am involved with Ski Club and the RWU Auto Club I like to ride dirt bikes, work out, go to the beach, and listen to music.

Health and Wellness Educator (H.A.W.E.)
Position Description


Job Summary: Under the direction of the Wellness Coordinator, HAWEs provide a range of planned ongoing educational activities consistent with the university’s mission.  They develop and present university prevention campaigns and residence hall workshops with an emphasis on campus alcohol and drug issues. They need to be a known member of their assigned residence and work collaboratively and cooperatively with other Team Care members and the CORE.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Attends fall, winter and spring Team Care training and in-services.
  • Works cooperatively with the HAWE s and Team Care members.
  • Plans and organizes campus wellness campaigns with an emphasis on alcohol and drug use prevention programs.
  • Develops and presents residence hall and classroom workshops on a wide variety of wellness topics: safe sex, AIDS education, stress management, with an emphasis on alcohol and other drug use issues. 
  • Collects and analyses data on contacts, programs and student behaviors.
  • Creates educational brochures, handouts, ads, publicity releases, posters and bulletin boards.
  • Provides wellness coaching to students.
  • Participates in self-evaluation and evaluation by the Wellness Coordinator.
