Peer Educators
Who are PEERs?
PEERs are residents who are trained to provide information, workshops, and confidential referral services to students. Perhaps you've been experiencing homesickness, stress, academic difficulties, roommate, family, or relationship problems.
Maybe you're not sure where to go for help. The PEERs are available to provide support and referral information that you may find helpful in order to meet the challenges of college life.
PEERs are trained by the Center for Counseling and Student Development and are members of Team C.A.R.E. (Community Assistants for Residence Education).
PEERs are located in the residences on campus. Workshops are presented by PEERs at various times and locations throughout the year. They do not require any pre-enrollment. Contact either a PEER or the Center to request a particular workshop, or to obtain the upcoming schedule.
