City Girl Cupcake
The Career Center hosted City Girl Cupcake as part of our Social Entrepreneurial Series on October 16, 2009. This series is designed to showcase organizations that give a significant part of their profits back to the community.
City Girl Cupcake is a local farm fresh and organic mobile cupcakery that is baking for a cause. Co-founders, Catherine Corrente and Isabella Veader, are just 14 years old and are both of Providence. They opened City Girl Cupcake in June of 2009 and have already met their first goal: donating $1,000 to the cause, Feeding America’s Hungry Children.
In addition to helping feed hungry children across America, Catherine and Isabella hand-deliver unsold cupcakes to the Ronald McDonald House in Providence. With a passion for baking, City Girl Cupcake pledges to make everyone smile and to help those in need. Catherine and Isabella described how their business endeavor came to fruition and what it means to give back to those less fortunate.
