Graduate housing provides students with the opportunity to live independently in an apartment complex while enjoying all of the benefits of living in a residence hall. The furnished apartments are air-conditioned and rates include all utilities, cable with HBO, and data line hook-up. Phone service includes local and toll free calls. Washer and dryer provided in each apartment.
Visit a model room by calling ahead to schedule an appointment with the Landings Property Management at 401-841-1611. Office hours are weekdays from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM or on Saturdays from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. The office is located at 117 Lake Erie Street (moving to 131 Lexington sometime in April 2008). Please mention to the staff that you are a potential RWU tenant.
Lease Options
You can select from two convenient lease options - Twelve or Nine Months. Enjoy the convenience of the twelve month lease with all of the benefits of being minutes away from Newport and its wonderful beaches and summer employment opportunities.
Living Space
The apartments at Landings are two-bedroom apartments with fully-applianced kitchens, spacious dining and living areas, full bathroom and a small balcony or fenced-in backyard. The apartments have wall-to-wall carpeting throughout, with ceramic tile in the bathroom and linoleum in the kitchen. Spacious closets are in each bedroom, and additional closets are in the hallway near the bathroom and kitchen. Furniture in the living room and dining area include a three-cushion sofa, one-cushion chair, coffee table, two end tables and a dining table with four chairs. Each bedroom is air conditioned, and is furnished with a twin extra long bed, computer desk with a cushioned rocker chair, and three drawer dresser. There is also an additional storage unit located in the back yard.
Parking and Transportation
Ample parking is available around the complexes. Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) http://www.ripta.com/ bus line has service from Coddington Highway to campus.
Neighborhood & Community
The surrounding area provides an array of restaurants, shopping and other local interests. Located just minutes away are two supermarkets, numerous fast-food restaurants, a movie cinema, Chili's, Ruby Tuesday, Blue Plate Diner, Barnes & Noble, Home Depot and three pharmacies. Directions from Campus
Landings Apartments are located on Niagara and Lexington Streets and Constitution Avenue in Middletown, RI.
From campus, go over the Mount Hope Bridge. At the end of the Bridge continue on RT 114 South (West Main Road) for approx. 11 miles. Turn right on Coddington Highway (main intersection with Burger King and Ruby Tuesday's on the left and a baseball field on the right). Niagara Street is the 3rd right and Lexington Street is the 4th Right.
