Residence Hall Living
It's more than just a Place to Sleep and Study...a Place to Learn and Grow and to Meet New Friends!
The Residence Life program at Roger Williams University is more than just "dorm" (Dismal Ordinary Room of Mine) living. It's Residence Hall living with a flare! It's....

The Residence Life Program
The Residence Life program is designed to provide residents an environment to grow and learn in many ways. Living in the halls offers residents an opportunity to:
- meet and live with people from different backgrounds
- make new friends
- learn things about oneself and about others that can't be learned in a classroom
- grow personally and further develop individual unique goals and values
- develop one's own lifestyle.
The Department of Residence Life and Housing recognizes that residence hall living is an integral part of the total educational package at RWU. Learning continues outside the classroom and we make every effort to provide a positive environment in which residents can live and learn.
Team C.A.R.E.
During their time at Roger Williams, a large part of a students residence life experience will have come from the Team C.A.R.E. staff.
The staff consists of the Coordinators of Residence Education (CORE), Resident Assistants, Health and Wellness Educators (H.A.W.E.), and Peers Educators with Expertise in Referrals (PEER). Together, the Team C.A.R.E. strives to create a constructive living and learning community in each residence hall.
- Coordinators of Residence Education (CORE) - The seven COREs oversee the staffs and general well being of the University's residence halls. Each CORE is a full time professional live in staff member who is responsible for everything that goes on in their building. COREs oversee the day to day operations of their building, enforce University policy, and serve as a resource to staff and students alike.
