Intercultural Center
About

The Intercultural Center houses International and Multicultural Student Affairs. Several of the students say it is "a home away from home."

Intercultural Center Logo

The Roger Williams University's Intercultural Center presents an atmosphere to support, respect, and celebrate the multiplicity of the RWU community including, but not limited to, diversity of culture, nationality, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender, and physical ability. The Center also promotes awareness, education, and acceptance of each other's humanity and different world-views.

The Center reflects multiculturalism through its staff, resources, literature, and décor and provides support to increasing the diversity of the Roger Williams University community. Furthermore, the Intercultural Center provides a relaxing space for international students and students of color, as well as the entire Roger Williams University family.

In addition, a multi-purpose lounge for students to unwind in between classes, or gather for meetings and programs, offers international students a comfortable place to be who they are. The multi-facitied purposes of the lounge offers great opportunities to make new friends, study, relax, socialize, and get involved.

The Center also has a kitchen for community meal preparation, a computer and television. The Center is open daily from 9:00am - 10:00pm and on weekends by arrangement. For more information on the center and its programs call (401) 254-3121 or contact the Intercultural Center's Administrative Assistant, Adrianne Henderson at ahenderson@rwu.edu

The Intercultural Center is located at the north end of Maple Hall adjacent to the Student Union Building.
