Graduates
Graduation List

Only students who have applied for and have been authorized to appear on the graduation list can participate in the Commencement Ceremony. This requires all students to have received financial clearance from the Bursar’s Office and confirmation of graduation status from the Registrar’s Office. Students whose name does not appear on the list cannot participate in the ceremony under any circumstances. No exceptions will be made.

To see if your name is on the graduation list, visit the tentative graduation list. This list is updated every Friday. Should you have any questions regarding your status in either area, please contact Anabela in the Registrar's Office at 401-254-3510. Students in the School of Continuing Studies please call Pam Downey at 401-254-4805 to check your graduation status.

Senior Class Speaker & National Anthem Selection

Applications for both of these honors are available in the Special Events & Conferences Office, Student Programs and Leadership Office, both located in the Campus Recreation Center as well as in the Office of Student Life in the Center for Student Development. Requirements, auditioning information, and the selection process for both will be included with the applications. All undergraduates who have been cleared for graduation are eligible to apply. Applications are due on March 10, 2008.

Rehearsal

There will be a rehearsal on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 12:15pm in the Campus Recreation Center Fieldhouse. All graduates must attend this rehearsal as instructions regarding the ceremony will be given at that time.

News Releases

At Commencement rehearsal graduates will receive a form news release or they can print a PDF version here. Graduated must fill in the blanks with their own information and send it off to any newspaper or other news outlet they like. To send it to more than one place, just photocopy the form as often as needed. The Office of Public Affairs will not be sending notices, so if you want your news to be included in the local papers, you must complete this form.

Career Center

If you are reading this, you know that your education at Roger Williams University is coming to a close and you may need to think about finding a job that begins after Commencement. The Career Center offers graduating students the opportuntiy to interview with organizations that come to campus during the year that have professional positions available, some nationwide. To participate, a student must complete an On-Campus recruiting orientation, which is a one hour session designed to get a student ready for this important process. If you have attended a Cooperative Education Workshop series, chances are you have already fulfilled this requirement. To find an Orientation and to register for one, please log into HAWKS HUNT at http://careercenter.rwu.edu.  Need to get ready for the job market? Attend Speed Learning on Tuesday, February 26 from 7-9pm at the hawks Hangout. You will have a choice of multiple sesions, each lasting 20 minutes, that you may rotate through. Spend as little or as much time with us as you wish. Our annual Career Fair is being held on Wednesday, April 9 from 1-3:30pm in the Field House. Over 120 employers and graduate schools are expected to attend.

If you are majoring in Accounting, International Business, Financial Services, Computer Information Systems, Psychology or Communications, you have hopefully either completed or are in the process of completing your REQUIRED cooperative education/internship experience.  If you have not yet thought about this REQUIREMENT, please contact the Career Center immediately at 401-254-3224.  Management majors (in fall 2005 catalogues and later) are also required to complete a cooperative education/internship experience.
