Central is the University's official primary web server. Currently, Central hosts all live official websites, both CMS and Non-CMS driven. Additionally, Central also houses the University Depository.

For security reasons direct file access to Central is restricted. As a result, to place content on Central, if the content is outside of the CMS, users must alert Web Services and request a publishing transfer.

It is Web Services' plan to in the future separate CMS and Non-CMS official content and allow users direct file access to update websites outside of the CMS. 

At that point, Central will house only live CMS driven websites and non-CMS websites will be located on an alternative server.

Domains

Currently Central hosts all live official academic and administrative domains including www.rwu.edu.

To request a domain for your official academic or administrative website content located on Central please view the URL request page and the University's Domain Policy to ensure you are eligible.

Publishing

To publish content to Central, a publishing request must be sent to Web Services at publish@rwu.edu

Depository

Central houses the University Depository, a location where users can retrieve shared content such as PDFs, guides and other documents.

To place content within the Depository a publishing request must be sent to Web Services.

Content on this web server is officially supported by Web Services.
