The Leadership Development for Law Enforcement Seminar is intended to provide law enforcement professionals, especially first line supervisors and mid-managers, who are charged with leadership responsibilities exposure to the basic tools and concepts of leadership.  This will be accomplished within the framework of a workshop format that will utilize interactive presentation techniques to involve participants in a hands-on learning experience.

Workshop participants will explore the classical schools of leadership theory, followership theory, group behavior dynamics, leadership tools, and the situational leadership model.  In addition, a leadership self-assessment exercise will be conducted for the personal growth and use of individual participants.  The workshop will include an off-campus leadership challenge field exercise where participants will have an opportunity to incorporate and explore skills discussed in the classroom.

This program is hosted by the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council, Inc. and is presented by the Roger Williams University - Justice System Training & Research Institute in partnership with the New England Association of Chiefs of Police, Inc.
