Hala Taweel is the President and co founder of the university of the Middle East Project, a 501 c3 organization based in Cambridge, MA. Born in Jerusalem Dr. Taweel was raised in Nablus and Ramallah. She holds a PhD degree in Higher Education Administration from Boston College, the Lynch Graduate School of Education, a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University, the John F. Kennedy School of Government. Her first Masters was in Computer Science and human Science was received from Paris VIII University, Paris France. She also holds a Diploma in Diplomatic and Strategic Studies from the Center for Law and Defense at Paris V University.   Dr. Taweel's interest is in international higher education with special focus on the Middle East. She is also Member of the Board of Trustees of Roger Williams University, in Bristol, RI.
