Mr. Anders Jerichow

Mr. Jerichow is an editor, editorialist and columnist, "Politiken", Copenhagen, and also a commentator on Middle East-European relations in Radio and Television. He is the chief editor of ‘udenrigs’ (Danish foreign affairs magazine).

In addition, he is a member of the board of Danish Foreign Policy Society, the International Press Center ad PL Foundation, Copenhagen, as well as Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism, Amman, among others. He is a member of the Danish Foreign Ministry Council for International Development Cooperation since 2002.

Mr. Jerichow has published a number of books on Middle East, Islam and Human Rights, among these "Arabiske stemmer" ("Arab Voices on Democratizations" - København and Oslo) 1991, "Mellemøsten i 90erne" (The Middle East in the 90ies") 1993, "The Saudi File - People, Power, Politics" (London and New York) 1998 and "Saudi Arabia, Outside Global Law and Order" (London) 1998, "Arabien ¬-- Palads eller parlament" ("Arabia -- ¬ Palace or Parliament") 2002.

He is the co-Editor of "Bridging the Cultural Gap" (Copenhagen, 1994), "Islam in a Changing World" (London 1997), "The Wrath of the Damned" (London 2004), “Verden foran os” (The World Ahead of Us, Copenhagen 2007) and others. He contributed to “A Matter of Principle, Humanitarian Arguments for War in Iraq” (edited by Thomas Cushman, California 2005), Towards New Global Strategies, Public Goods and Human Rights (edited by Erik André Andersen and Birgit Lindsnaes, Leiden and Boston 2007). He is a member of the organizing committee for the Danish PEN Arab-European conference 'Bridging the Cultural Gap' 1995, for the 'Danish Foreign Ministry international conference "Islam in a Changing World" 1998, the Danish PEN 'Bridging the Cultural Gap II' 2003 - and others. He has made frequent travels to the Middle East, South Asia, North Africa, USA, Europe etc. since early 80ies.
