Student Instructional Technology Assistant

Job Description: 

The Department of Instructional Design supports technologies for teaching and learning on campus including Bridges and Panopto for both faculty and students. This position will work with the Instructional Design team to provide assistance to RWU students and faculty in using supported software on campus. We are looking for motivated students who want to add valuable technology skills and work experience to their undergraduate education at RWU. Training will be provided as needed.

To assist the Instructional Design team in providing support for technology-related questions and issues for all faculty and students. Support is focused on Bridges, Google Apps, browser and operating systems, Panopto and productivity software such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.


  • Basic comfort level with technology
  • Willingness to learn new applications quickly and complete a variety of tasks and assignments
  • Basic scanning skills helpful
  • Demonstrate and maintain professional qualities including but not limited to dependability, flexibility, willingness to learn, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to interact and work collaboratively with diverse faculty and students
  • Good communication and writing skills
