The University Library Friends web page, “Connecting with Your Library” provides ongoing, online insights into the cultural and intellectual life of RWU, as seen through the library’s unique perspective of being both the literal and figurative heart of the campus.
Student will work with the writer-in-residence to maintain a dynamic and informative website. Student will create content throughout the academic year, including, but not limited to: writing book reviews and previews, conducting interviews with authors and scholars, writing previews of upcoming events, copy editing, contributing to social media promotions, documenting/assisting with special events, working with other university departments to enhance readership, and other duties as assigned.
Student should have a positive attitude and be comfortable working in both independent and team settings, as well as working toward deadlines. Student should be outgoing and personable, and comfortable with contacting and interviewing potential subjects in person. Student should have strong written and oral communication skills, be prepared to read and research per various assignments, and be well organized.
