The Community Partnerships Center at Roger Williams University delivers project-based design and preservation services to organizations and municipalities in local and regional communities. These community partnerships broaden and deepen the academic experiences of RWU students by allowing them to work on real-world projects, collaborating with residents and citizens.
Student will assist the staff at the Community Partnerships Center with various photo and video tasks throughout the academic year, including, but not limited to: photographing work days and group meetings, shooting video at events and site visits, editing photos and videos for use on our website and in final printed materials. One primary task for this student will be to organize and properly archive all of the CPC digital photos and videos to date and create a reference catalog of all documented photo items.
Student should be entering their sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate years. Student should have experience in digital photography and editing, videography and editing, and archival creation. Students should have their own transportation if they need to leave campus to photograph an event or site visit. Students should have a positive attitude and be comfortable working in both independent and team settings. Students should be comfortable working in a professional setting and be able to adhere to guidelines and schedules. Students should have strong written and oral communication skills, be well organized, and work well in a high-energy, fast paced environment.
