Job Description: 

Primary duties will include providing support to the Office of Residence Life & Housing and Dean of Student’s office in the following areas:


Our Staff Assistants are often the “Greeter” and first impression of The Department of Residence Life & Housing when inquiries come in person, or via phone. As such, you will need to handle a wide variety of situations and office tasks while maintaining a professional and customer service oriented demeanor at all times.


Filing, creating files, organizing files, alphabetizing, photocopying

Answering phone calls, making phone calls, taking detailed messages and distributing them to the correct staff

Scheduling appointments

Assisting with creative projects

Computer work, mail distribution, running errands

Greeting guests that come into the office and directing them to the appropriate person

Helping students with various questions

Special Skills: 
Must be prompt, reliable, courteous, energetic and demonstrate a positive attitude
Should have good organizational skills and be able to multitask
Applicant must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
Familiarity with answering phones in a professional manner a must
Punctuality and working your scheduled shift is required
Student must swipe in and out of shift through the KRONOS time system
