In 2007, Roger Williams University made the decision to centralize communications functions on campus by joining the Office of Public Affairs and the Office of Marketing & Communications—and University Communications was born.

Who We Are

In University Communications, we have been charged with ensuring the effective flow of information—both within the University community and beyond. To make that happen, we focus on strategic messaging, strong visual presentation, effective copy and consistent style.

How can we assist you with your communications efforts? We’ll start by collaborating on a targeted marketing and publicity strategy that integrates appropriately with the University’s overall communications plan. Then, we’ll choose from an array of tools to execute that strategy. Think of us as a one-stop shop for graphic design, editorial services, publication development, web and electronic communications, media relations campaigns, advertising and more.

Key to successfully executing your communications strategy is good planning. Whether you’re offering a new service, planning an event or simply trying to connect with your constituents, we urge you to partner with University Communications early in the process. Together, we’ll strategize, build a communications plan and implement it.
