Brian E. Clark

Eager to return to the higher education scene, Brian Clark joined the Roger Williams staff in September 2006. Prior to his move to Rhode Island, Mr. Clark, a licensed pilot, spent five years in San Diego and northern New Jersey directing the editorial staff of KITPLANES Magazine, a 75,000-circulation monthly newsstand publication for Experimental aircraft enthusiasts.

Mr. Clark earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from New York University in 2001, while working as a research assistant in the Office of Academic Affairs at the university’s School of Education. There, he partnered with Dr. Bruce Byers, academic program associate, on a variety of initiatives including the production of the school’s academic bulletin and the creation of department web sites.

During his undergraduate years at NYU, Mr. Clark also served in editorial positions on the staffs of Washington Square News and Manhattan South magazine; additionally, he completed a senior-year internship at Paper Magazine.

Jennifer Sullivan

After moving to Rhode Island from Yokosuka, Japan, Jennifer Sullivan joined the Office of Public Affairs in July 2007. During her two years abroad, she taught English at a Japanese preschool and to several private students.

Previously, Ms. Sullivan worked as a features reporter at the Corpus Christi Caller-Times, a 51,000-circulation daily newspaper in South Texas. There, she wrote about a variety of subjects including real estate, antiques, health and home and garden.

In 2001, Ms. Sullivan earned bachelor’s degrees in theatre and in radio/television/film from the University of Texas at Austin. In school, she served as an entertainment reporter for the university newspaper, The Daily Texan.

During her time at UT-Austin, Ms. Sullivan also held internships at Mandalay Pictures in Hollywood, Calif., and WFAA-TV in Dallas.

Kim Sousa

After seven years working as a pricing specialist at Quaker Fabric Corporation in Fall River, Mass., Kim Sousa became the University’s Public Affairs Administrator in January 2006.

Drawing on prior experience in higher education, Ms. Sousa had decided that she wanted to return to a university setting after working in the private sector. Prior to her time at Quaker, she worked in the Office of Development at Salve Regina University in Newport, R.I.

Ms. Sousa graduated from Nichols College in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
