Barn Summer Playhouse Auditions to be Held at Roger Williams
BRISTOL, R.I., May 2008 – Calling all actors: The Roger Williams University Barn Summer Playhouse will hold two auditions in May for a pair of upcoming summer shows.
Auditions for “The Real Inspector Hound,” written by Tom Stoppard, will be held on Tuesday, May 6, at 6 p.m. (or by appointment), in the University’s New Academic Building (lower floor). Three to four females and four to five males (all ages) are needed for this outrageous farce that spoofs a British whodunit. The production will run June 20 to 28 at the RWU Performing Arts Center. Rehearsals will begin Monday, May 19. Auditions will consist of cold readings.
Auditions for “Proof,” written by David Auburn, will be held on Tuesday, May 27 at 7 p.m. (or by appointment), at the Performing Arts Center. Two males (one 20s to 30s, one 50s to 60s) and two females (20s to 30s) are needed for this Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning drama. The production will run July 11 to 19 at the Performing Arts Center. Auditions will consist of cold readings.
All auditions are open to the public and will be held at the University’s Bristol campus located at One Old Ferry Road.
