Jon Luther, CEO of Dunkin’ Brands, to Speak at Roger Williams

BRISTOL, R.I., March 2008 – When you sink your teeth into a fresh donut at Dunkin’ Donuts or lick an ice cream cone at Baskin-Robbins, maybe you’ve wondered how the owner of these two brands, Dunkin’ Brands, Inc., became such a successful—and delicious—business.

Jon Luther, chairman and CEO of Dunkin’ Brands, will discuss how the company maintains its success in a presentation at Roger Williams University on Thursday, April 3, as part of the Gabelli School of Business Distinguished Leader Lecture Series.

Mr. Luther, who’s served as CEO of Dunkin’ Brands since 2003, is a leader in creative brand development, having also held leadership positions at Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits, CA One Services, Marriott Corporation and ARAMARK. He has received numerous industry awards, including the Nation’s Restaurant News Gold Chain award, the Chain Leadership award from Chain Leader magazine and the 2007 Gold Plate Award from the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association.

Mr. Luther holds a degree in hotel and restaurant management from Paul Smith’s College and honorary doctorate degrees from Bentley College and Johnson & Wales University.

His presentation, “Brand Transformation: Staying Relevant in Today’s Competitive Marketplace,” will be held at 3 p.m. in the Roger Williams University School of Law room 283, located on the Bristol campus at One Old Ferry Road. A reception will follow.
