These five resources for locating funding opportunities include searchable databases and two email alert services to send you announcements of new opportunities. You can tailor your search for your field of interest.
The Grant Advisor
RWU has a subscription to The Grant Advisor. To access the searchable database and monthly update of federal and foundation grant opportunities, go to http://www.grantadvisor.com , and click on Subscriber Pages.
Grants.gov
Grants.gov is a one-stop source of information on grant opportunities from more than 1000 Federal grant programs. You can search by topic, agency and keywords. There is also an email alert service which you can tailor to send you announcements of opportunities in your field of interest or research. http://www.grants.gov
IRIS
RWU has a subscription IRIS (Illinois Researcher Information Service), a web based research database and alert service for federal and private funding opportunities. IRIS can be reached from any computer on campus.

The Foundation Center
The Foundation Center’s website has information about writing and developing proposals, finding funding agencies and other useful information. We also have an FC Search CD Rom available for faculty and staff on one computer in the library. Ask at the reference desk to access this searchable database of information on foundations and their funding priorities, deadlines, amounts typically awarded and other key characteristics.

Guide Star
Guide Star provides the IRS 990 forms for nonprofits in the United States. The forms include a list of award recipients and the amounts they received.
