About NCBI

The National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI), founded in 1984 and headquartered in Washington, DC, is an international, non-profit, leadership training organization working to end prejudice and conflict in communities throughout the world. NCBI is dedicated to ending the mistreatment of every group, whether it stems from nationality, race, class, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, physical ability, job or life circumstance.

NCBI Teams are found in many cities around the world. Diversity workshops have been offered and conducted on hundreds of college and university campuses. Our Roger Williams University NCBI Team is a part of the NCBI Campus Affiliate program. The Roger Williams University NCBI Affiliate Team is composed of University faculty and staff who meet monthly to work on their skill development and to prepare workshops for the RWU community.

The departments represented within the chapter include Human Resources, Office of the Dean of Students, Residence Life, Health Services, Spiritual Life, Athletics, Public Safety, Student Programs and Leadership, Conference Services, Student Advocacy, Dining Services, Faciltities, and Media Services.
