Roger Williams University's Bridge To Success Program (BTS), founded in 1993 through a grant from the Balfour Foundation, partners with select Newport and Providence high schools and service organizations to promote the development of academic, social and emotional support systems for high school students in under-resourced communities.

Goals

To provide high school students/families in under-resourced communities with the tools, skills and knowledge needed to achieve academic success toward admission into Roger Williams University or any other four-year college/university of their choice. The mentees provide RWU undergraduates (particularly those in the School of Education) with unparalleled hands-on field experience with students and families in under-resourced communities through community engagement with participating schools and community collaborations as well as in our residential and on-site programs.
