Intramurals
Roger Williams Intramural-Recreational Sports Program enriches student life by offering a broad range of activities designed to meet the varied needs of the campus community.
Registration for the second session of Fall Intramurals is now underway on http://www.imleagues.com/. All sports will take place indoors in the Fieldhouse in the Campus Recreation Center. Sports include 3 v 3 Basketball (leagues will include Competitive, Recreational and Women only), Dodgeball, Volleyball and Wiffle Ball (which will take place only on Thursday nights). All undergraduate and graduate students as well as faculty and staff are welcome to compete for the coveted intramurals champion t-shirt.
Imleagues will again be used for team and individual registration. Imleagues is a website specifically designed for college intramural departments. Registration is open from Tuesday, Oct. 6th at 8:00 AM and will close at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, Oct. 14th.
Information on how captains can enter a team or sign up to be part of a team via imleagues can be viewed at the Intramurals website at /athletics/recreation/intramurals/eligibility.htm. Each team registered must submit a $20 forfeit deposit for each team in each sport in order to secure your team's spot. Forfeit deposits need to be turned in to Marty Kelly, Intramurals & Recreation Coordinator at his office in the Fieldhouse of the Campus Recreation Center no later than 3:00 PM, October 14th.
Also, any students with Federal Work-Study that may be interested in working as a referee, scorekeeper and/or timekeeper, please contact Marty Kelly at mkelly@rwu.edu.
The wholesome competition provided by intramural sports and special events allows the students to develop sport skills and improve physical fitness.
Co-ed leagues and events emphasize socialization by encouraging participation and the fun aspect of sports.
