Course Information
The course will be held at Roger Williams University
Tuesday April 14th- Friday April 17th 4pm- 9pm
Saturday April 18th 1-4pm
Prerequisites:
- Must be 15 Years old. (Instructor candidates must be 17 years old)
- Swim 300 yards continuously using crawl stroke and breaststroke.
- Starting in the water, swim 20 yards using front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive 7-10 feet, retrieve 10-pound object, return to surface, swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the object and exit the water without using ladders or steps, within 1 minute, 40 seconds.
(These prerequisites will be administered during the first hour. Those that do not complete them successfully will not be able to remain in the course)

Cost
- $5 per family with children under 12 (must have adult supervision)
- Over 12 years $5 per person
1pm-4pm $5 per family. Children 12 &under must be accompanied by an adult with a maximum of 4 children under 12 per one adult. 13 & up can use the pool without an adult.
Roger Williams University is offering lap swim to the Bristol community. Lap swim is on Monday Wednesday and Friday mornings from 6-8am AND Monday- Friday 11-12:30pm for an additional fee. Aquatics memberships can be purchased for use of the pool only. Applications must be filled out and brought back to the aquatics coordinator in order to receive the membership card. Without membership it will cost $5 per person per visit.
(Please note this is for pool access ONLY not use of the facility. Waivers must be signed by each individual using the pool and children under 18 must have a parent sign. Days and times are subject to change due to weather and upcoming events.)
The classes will be taught based on the American Red Cross levels. The Red Cross has recently revised its program so you may seem to be repeating a level when in actuality you have moved on to the next level. Upon completion of the class, certificates will be awarded.
