Application Requirements
International Baccalaureate (IB)
Roger Williams University recognizes the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program as a program that is academically and intellectually rigorous.
Students accepted to Roger Williams University who have received an IB Diploma from a regionally accredited secondary school are eligible to receive a maximum of 30 credits, the equivalent of one year of studies, in transfer credit on a course-by-course basis.
Students can receive 3 credits for every Higher Level (HL) course with a score of 5 or higher, for a maximum of 15 credits. No credit is awarded for Standard Level exams (SL). The University will determine the number and equivalence of actual transfer credits after evaluating the applicant's individual program of studies.
Students must have an official IB transcript sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admission along with course syllabi.
