Master of Arts in Teaching
Minimum entrance qualifications in addition to general requirements.

  1. Achieved an overall GPA of 2.5 or greater in undergraduate work

  2. Two letters of recommendation attesting to the candidates potential to do graduate work and work with children

  3. Official admissions interview (phone interview can be arranged if campus visit is not permissible)

  4. Résumé or Curriculum Vitae

Master of Arts in Literacy
Minimum entrance qualifications in addition to general requirements.(This program is part-time only)

  1. Achieved an overall GPA of 3.0 or greater in undergraduate work

  2. Two letters of recommendation attesting to the candidate's potential to do graduate work and work with children

  3. Copy of Teaching Certificate

  4. Official admissions interview (phone interview can be arranged if campus visit is not permissible)

  5. Résumé or Curriculum Vitae
School of Justice Studies


Master of Science in Criminal Justice
Minimum entrance requirements in addition to general requirements

  1. Achieved an overall GPA of 3.0 or greater in undergraduate work

  2. Two letters of recommendation attesting to the candidate's potential to do graduate work.

  3. Applicants with an overall grade point average below a 3.0 (B) are strongly encouraged to take either the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) (students applying for the Joint M.S. /J.D. degree must submit an LSAT score).
School of Architecture, Art and Historic Preservation 


Master of Architecture
Minimum entrance requirements in addition to general requirements. (Fall term start only)

  1. B.A. or B.S. in Architecture

  2. Achieved an overall GPA of 3.0 or greater in undergraduate work

  3. Two letters of recommendation attesting to the candidate's potential to do graduate work

  4. Portfolio

Portfolio Format
The portfolio should be in a compact format, either in a notebook, portfolio binder, or a bound document. It should be no larger than 11 x 17 inches.

Portfolio Content
Portfolios should contain four to six representative studio projects. These projects should demonstrate:

  • a developed degree of competence in the field of architectural design
  • an ability to organize programmatic content
  • and a commitment to professionalism in the studio

In addition, you may include a maximum of three other examples of your work in related subjects or fields, such as work is done in construction materials and assemblies, computer graphics, art/drawing, and the like.

College of Arts and Sciences 


Master of Public Administration 

  1. Achieved an overall GPA of 2.75 or greater in undergraduate work.

  2. Two letters of recommendation attesting to the candidate's potential to do graduate work

Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology
Minimum entrance requirements in addition to general requirements (Starting Fall 2006, Fall term start only. Application deadline: March 15)

  1. Achieved an overall GPA of 3.00 or greater in undergraduate work.

  2. Submission of GRE scores (minimum combined score of 1000; quantitative and verbal scores should not be below 500)

  3. Three letters of recommendation attesting to the candidate's potential to do graduate work

  4. An earned bachelor's degree in Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field.

  5. Completed pre-requisite courses in the following:
    * Statistics
    * Research Methods
