Application Requirements
Entrance Exams

Forensic Psychology
Applicants to the graduate program in Forensic Psychology must submit official results from the general GRE (information online at www.gre.org). The ETS code for Roger Williams is 3729.

Criminal Justice
Applicants to the Criminal Justice program with undergraduate GPA less than 3.00 must submit official results from either the GRE or Miller Analogy Test (information online at http://www.milleranalogies.com/).

Joint Criminal Justice M.S./J.D
Applicants to the Joint Criminal Justice M.S./J.D. program must take the LSAT (information available online at http://www.lsat.org/) and apply separately for admission to the Roger Williams University School of Law (http://law.rwu.edu/).

Construction Management
Applicants to the Construction Management program must have attained a B or higher in calculus, probability & statistics, and engineering economics or operations research-systems analysis. Applicants who have not completed those courses satisfactorily must submit official results from either the general GRE or GMAT (information online at http://www.mba.com/).

Entrance exams are not required by the graduate programs in Literacy Education, Public Administration, and Teaching.

  • The General Test is offered year round as a computer based test only.

  • The Writing Assessment is offered year-round as a computer based test only.

  • You may sit for the exam once per calendar month. Appointments are made on first come first served basis between the hours of 8am and 6pm Monday through Saturday. Keep in mind that the months of November and January are the busiest!

  • The cost is $99 for the General test and $50 for the Writing Assessment.

Miller Analogies Test (MAT)

In Rhode Island the Miller Analogies Test is offered at:

Rhode Island College:

  • The MAT consists of 100 partial analogies that are completed in 50 minutes.
  • Each test center sets their own times, dates and fees.
