Apply For Aid
In order for us to assess your financial need in a fair and uniform manner, we require the following from all freshman and transfer applications:
- The CSS Profile Form
- The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- A signed copy of student's and parents' federal income tax form (1040, 1040A, 1040EZ, Telefile.)
The CSS Profile Form and FAFSA are available through your high school guidance office, transfer office, or the University Office of Student Financial Aid and Financial Planning. In addition, families may apply online at https://profileonline.collegeboard.com/index.jsp or http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.
Roger Williams School Codes are:
- CSS - 3729
- FAFSA - 003410
All applicants must also submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon after January 1 each year, but no later than February 1, to be considered eligible for aid for the following September. Priority consideration is given to applicants whose FAFSA is received by the federal processor no later than February 1. Additionally, the CSS Profile priority date is January 1. Estimated tax figures may be used to complete the CSS Profile Form and FAFSA.
To be considered eligible for any financial aid, a student must be admitted to a degree program and be a U.S. Citizen or Eligible Non-citizen.
If you're applying through the Early Decision Program, you should submit the CSS Profile when you apply for Early Decision, but no later than November 1.
Returning students must reapply for financial aid each year in order to have your current eligibility determined. All returning students must submit a FAFSA to the federal processor by February 1. You must also satisfy the academic standards of the University to continue to be eligible for financial aid.
