Types of Aid

Roger Williams offers both need- and merit-based aid.

Seventy percent of our 2010 entering students received merit-based aid. There is no additional form to fill out for merit-based scholarships, and all incoming students are eligible.

RWU merit scholarships range from $7,000 – $33,000 per year — and are renewed each year so long as the student meets certain academic requirements.

Eighty-eight percent of incoming students receive some form of financial aid

The average new student financial aid package is $20,819

Of RWU students who filed the FAFSA:

• 18% have family incomes under $50,000
• 27% have incomes between $50,000 and $100,000
• 26% have incomes between $100,000 and $150,000
• 29% have family incomes over $150,000

RWU awarded over $30 million of financial aid to students this year alone.
