How online courses work!

Once a student registrars for an online course they will be sent a password and username that will allow them to access the university's course management system where the students online hours can be entered.

Technical Requirements

Roger Williams University uses a course management system called Blackboard. to take course over the internet students must have access to a internet ready computer and access to a internet connection. DSL is recommended but a 56 k dial up modem will also work.

Computer Hardware
To take a class via Video Streaming, you must have a computer with at least:
 Pentium II 300MHz processor,128MB of RAM, and a Cable modem, DSL modem, or LAN connection.

Computer Software
To take a class via Video Streaming, you must have the following software:

Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher., RealPlayer 10 or higher, and Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or higher.
