All prospective students, including those not seeking a degree, must file a formal application. Degree candidates must follow all application procedures, including providing a transcript of secondary school work, and/or a record of high school equivalency test scores (G.E.D.), and college transcripts of other colleges attended where appropriate.

Prospective students who do not have a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate may take courses for credit with permission of the instructor, but cannot be considered as degree candidates until the G.E.D. examinations have been successfully completed and the student applies for admission to a degree program. Students interested in a distance learning program must have advanced academic standing, a record of successful previous college attendance and/or a record of creditable employment experience.
