Student Advocacy

The Student Advocacy Office was launched in Fall of 2003.  New and returning students making the often difficult and challenging transition from high school to college, from home to residence hall, can rely on accurate answers to questions, sensitive and appropriate referrals to other campus agencies, and support and guidance throughout the school year.

The Student Advocacy Office can:

  • Familiarize students with academic requirements and regulations.
  • Explain the Academic Advising system and the Academic Expectations at RWU.
  • Provide assistance with adjustments to campus life.
  • Introduce and encourage students to use available campus resources.
  • Make referrals to other campus offices and departments.
  • Help students connect with clubs and activities on campus.

Our office is located on the first floor of the Administration Building.  We are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.  The Student Advocates welcome walk-ins, but appointments are also available.
