After two years of a very collaborative effort on the part of faculty, staff and students who served on the Advising Task Force,  the University  Advising Center opens its doors for the first time this fall.  Susan is the new Director of the center.  She has a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.  She has worked as a counselor, advisor, and faculty member throughout her 30 year career in higher education.

Karen is the Senior Academic Advisor in the University Advising Center.  She has a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Rhode Island, a master’s degree in Humanities with a concentration in Holistic Counseling from Salve Regina University, and a graduate certificate in Expressive Arts from Salve Regina.  She has been advising students at the undergraduate and graduate levels for eight years.

Racheal Roy, Advising Assistant

Racheal is originally from New England and is currently pursuing her masters degree in Academic Advising at Kansas State University.  Racheal received her B.A. in Communication from The University of Southern Maine.  She also holds a graduate certificate in Meeting Management from Northeastern University. As an undergraduate student, Racheal recognized the need for academic guidance and wanted to be a part of the solution.  "I am enthusiastic about helping students discover their inner strengths and bridging their academic careers with their future goals".
