Eligibility and requirements for continued participation:
Students demonstrating an exemplary academic performance and potential for scholarship in high school are considered, as in-coming freshmen, for invitation to the University Honors Program.
The specific eligibility criteria include: superior high school performance in college preparatory courses, exceptional SAT/ACT scores, a record of diverse community service and extracurricular activities, and a carefully-prepared admissions application essay.
To remain in the Honors Program and graduate with University Honors, students must be enrolled full-time, maintain a 3.3 GPA at the end of each academic year, and fulfill all the academic program requirements. These academic program requirements include taking Honors courses, conducting a project proposal, participating in a Service and Leadership project Junior year, and holding a graduation year presentation or performance.
