7th Annual Roger Williams University Academic Showcase
April 9-13, 2008
What is it? This annual event celebrates the creative achievements and interests of University undergraduates. The Academic Showcase is a weekend-long exhibition of student academic and co-curricular talent. In its sixth year of continuous activity, the showcase includes submissions from freshmen through seniors in many categories (See the official entry form for details).
Who sponsors the showcase?
The Academic Showcase is co-sponsored by the University Honors Program and Alpha Chi. Other academic and professional honor societies also support the Showcase through the submissions of their student members.
Who is eligible to submit a showcase entry?
Any currently-enrolled full-time undergraduate of Roger Williams University is eligible to submit a showcase entry (use the electronic entry form accessible from this website). Display space is limited, and early entries are encouraged; the showcase committee reserves the right to decline a submission.
What are the benefits for participants?
Showcase entries are enjoyed by current students and faculty, and many prospective students and their parents during the Accepted Students Day weekend programs. Students exhibiting in the Academic Showcase receive official certificates of participation from the sponsoring organizations. Their names and entry titles are listed in the official showcase program (permanently retained in the University Archives). All entrants are also eligible for special awards and prizes provided by University administrators and the sponsoring agencies, determined by the official showcase judges.
