Meet the Feinstein Staff


KC Ferrara, Director of the Feinstein Center
KC has been with the Feinstein Center since January 2002. She has worked in various areas of higher education since 1986 including campus programs,leadership development, residence life, and judicial affairs. KC previously worked at RWU from 1990-1996 in the division of student affairs. During that time, she ran the Volunteer Center and led students on the University's first Alternative Spring Break. KC has a Bachelor's Degree from Suffolk University (MA) and a Master's Degree from Providence College (RI). Her advice to students is to become involved in service early in their career at RWU as a way to meet other students, learn more about the area, and explore community issues.

Joshua-Michael Corrente is a graduate of Rhode Island College and the Community College of Rhode Island. Prior to his commitment to national service through the AmeriCorps VISTA program, he was employed as a consult to the Rhode Island Department of Transportation, and as a management consultant to the campus recycling program at Providence College. JM is also a former biology teacher. He has an interest in abstract art and is a fan of the New England Patriots.

Kristin Read is a native of Warren, RI and received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Wheelock College in Brookline, Ma. After graduation, Kristin moved south to Miami, Florida where she worked as an informal educator and administrator in Science and Art Museums. In her new role as an AmeriCorps* VISTA member, she will be a Project Coordinator for the Feinstein Center for Service Learning. Kristin looks forward to strengthening the impact of RWU’s service and community learning experiences for students, faculty and the community. Kristin enjoys travelling, reading and reading about travelling.

AmeriCorps VISTA members are being sponsored by the Rhode Island Campus Compact in a year of full-time service.  They will focus on aligning campus and community resources, assessing the University's community-based initiatives, and creating a more accurate profile of the varied community efforts of our staff and students. 

Roey Brocuglio, Community Connections Co-Coordinator
Roey Brocuglio is a senior from Enfield, Connecticut.  She is a Visual Arts/Elementary Education double major, minoring in Art History. Roey is a member of SVA, Dance club, AmeriCorps Scholarships for Service, and is president of the Alpha Chi honor society. Roey's commitment to service includes work at Beacon Hospice, Community Connections, and the Autism Project of RI.  Her main responsibilities during summer 2008 will be co-coordinating the Community Connections 2008 event.

Emily Chappell, Community Connections Co-Coordinator
Emily Chappell is a senior from Portsmouth, Rhode Island.  She is a Communications major with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Foreign Language. Emily is a member of CEN (Campus Entertainment Network), Inter-Class Council (ICC), AmeriCorps Scholarships for Service, co-founder and past executive board member of the RWU ONE Campaign. Emily's commitment to service also includes working with her hometown youth football and cheerleading association, and Community Connections. Her main responsibilities during summer 2008 will be co-coordinating the Community Connections 2008 event.
