Special Opportunities

One of the best ways to gain global perspective and understand the diverse world we live in is by physically immersing yourself in a culture aside from your own. In other words, study abroad! Spend a semester in London or Florence, or try a short-term trip to Mexico or the Czech Republic. Want to study in a city where we don’t offer a program? No problem. Roger Williams has a long list of affiliated programs for students to consider—Shanghai, Budapest, Berlin, Istanbul, just to name a few.

But studying abroad is just one of the options the University offers for academic betterment. We have a variety of internship and cooperative programs that often lead to career placements, and if you meet the criteria, you will be invited to join the University Honors Program, which provides a challenging academic experience for outstanding students at Roger Williams.

We also offer a variety of Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs for all qualified students; the Feinstein Center for Service Learning & Community Engagement program helps nurture the University’s core value of community service in our students while meeting the needs of those in our local area; for non-native English speaking students, we offer an English as a Second Language Program; and each of the schools and colleges offers a number of other special programs.

The University supports you by offering a number of special programs and services, all designed to round out your education with extracurricular and pre-professional activities.
