Directed Seminars and On-line Courses utilize the Blackboard Course Learning System. All new SCS students will receive either a letter or an e-mail informing them of their “User Name” and “Password” approximately one week before the start of the course (with the exception of late registrations).  If you are an existing student who cannot recall your access information, please e-mail the School of Continuing Studies at scs@rwu.edu or call the SCS office at (401) 254-3530.

Students will initially log onto “myRWU.”  Then proceed to click on the ‘Blackboard and Academics’ tab. The courses for which you are registered will be listed on the first page. If no courses are listed, then either the Blackboard system has not yet interfaced with the university database or you have not been financially cleared by the Bursar’s office. It may take several days after registration or your tuition payment before  your name appears on the roster. If you are not listed after several days and  believe that there should be no reason for the omission, check with your advisor to determine the problem.

Although you are listed on the Blackboard roster, some instructors may not make their courses available to students until the week prior to the start of the semester. If at this point the course in which you are enrolled is still not available, please contact the instructor using the Faculty Contact List.
