The School of Architecture, Art and Historic Preservation currently sponsors two Study Abroad programs-a Fall/Spring semester long program in Florence for Architecture, Art and Architectural History, Historic Preservation, and Visual Arts Studies students; an eight week Summer Session for Architecture students in Prague and Vienna.
Three week programs in Amsterdam for Architecture Students, and in Venice for Visual Arts Studies and Art and Architectural History students, have been initiated in Summer 2006.
Roger Williams University Semester Abroad in Italy Program

Beginning in Fall 1999, Roger Williams University began operation of a Rome study abroad program, which in 2001 moved to Florence. Students in the School's majors in Architecture, Visual Arts Studies, Historic Preservation, and Art and Architectural History may study in Florence either for a semester or a full year. The University program is based at the Institute for Fine and Liberal Arts at the Pelazzo Rucellai, designed by Alberti. Facilities are supplemented for architecture students by a dedicated design studio facility. A full variety of courses in the arts and humanities, sciences, and social sciences are offered.
Architecture in Prague / Vienna

The School offers an eight-credit, eight-week Architecture Summer Study Abroad in Prague, Czech Republic during alternate summers. The program is housed at the Czech Technical Institute in Prague, the leading school of architecture in the country, with extended visits to Brno and Vienna. Site visits to important historic and contemporary architecture are integral with the program, along with lectures by leading Czech and Austrian architects, and participation in cultural events.
