High School
The School of Architecture, Art and Historic Preservation has two summer programs designed for students entering their senior year of high school.
Architecture
If architecture interests you as a possible career, this program offers students a chance to sample a professional college program before applying to a professional architecture school. Students gain a broader view of the field while developing skills and portfolio materials as aids to preparing an application to a professional school. Workshops, lectures, demonstrations, and field trips complement daily design studios.
Visual Art Studies
This program provides a studio experience for the highly motivated high school student with an intent to study art at the college level. The program will cover both Fine Arts and Design Arts curriculum with hands-on study. An emphasis will be placed on visual art career options. Participants will earn three college credit hours.
